Dr. Jennifer Cassatly has been in private practice for over 15 years, providing individual and family therapy, as well as psycho-educational assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. Jennifer earned a B.A. in Psychology from University of Miami, a M.A. in Counseling from Seton Hall University and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, GSEP.
Dr. Cassatly’s training and expertise is in treating the symptoms of anxiety/depression, academic challenges, and low self-esteem that are often associated with youth diagnosed with learning differences, ADHD, and mood disorders. Parenting support and family therapy are also offered. She uses an integrative approach that is goal oriented and strength-based. Treatment modalities include: cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, play, humanistic, and family systems interventions. Jennifer collaborates with schools to support therapeutic and educational interventions in the classroom. When indicated, she also works with associated fields including psychiatry, educational therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and alternative/holistic therapies in effort to provide youth with a holistic and comprehensive treatment.
She currently is on the Board of Directors for Saddle of Love, a non-profit Equine assisted psychotherapy program. She has been and remains committed to community service with programs at A Home Within, Venice Family Clinic, and The Housing and Education Program at the YMCA.
